Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Argon ("Argon," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit argonpay.app, create an account, use our APIs, dashboards, checkout pages, payment links, donation tools, bulk payout tools, or otherwise interact with our products and services (collectively, the "Service").

Argon provides decentralized, on-chain crypto payment infrastructure. Because payments settle on public blockchains, certain transaction details—such as wallet addresses, amounts, and transaction hashes—are inherently public. This Policy describes both the personal information we process off-chain and how on-chain activity relates to privacy.

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Our Terms and Conditions govern use of the Service separately from this Policy.

1. Who This Policy Covers

This Policy applies to:

  • Merchants, developers, and organizations that create Argon accounts or integrate our API
  • Visitors to our marketing site, documentation, and support channels
  • Payers and recipients who interact with Argon-hosted checkout, payment links, donation pages, or payout flows (to the extent we process their information)

Merchants may collect additional information from their own customers under the merchant's own privacy practices. Argon is not responsible for merchant privacy policies or how merchants use data outside the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account and profile details such as name, email address, password or authentication credentials, organization name, and contact preferences
  • Billing and plan information related to per-transaction or subscription pricing
  • Support and contact form submissions (for example name, country, email, subject, and message content)
  • Configuration data for payments, donations, and bulk payouts, including recipient wallet addresses, amounts, assets, networks, campaign targets, and metadata you attach to transactions
  • API keys and integration settings you create within the Service

2.2 Payment and transaction information

  • Payment identifiers, status (for example pending, paid, failed), timestamps, amounts, selected cryptocurrency or token, and network
  • Unique wallet addresses generated per payment or recipient for tracking
  • On-chain transaction hashes, confirmation data, and monitoring events observed by our custodian / monitoring systems
  • Checkout fields you or a merchant choose to collect (for example payer email when provided at checkout)

2.3 Automatically collected information

  • Device and browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, language preference, referring URLs, and pages or API endpoints accessed
  • Log data, diagnostic events, and security telemetry used to operate and protect the Service
  • Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies as described in Section 6

2.4 Information from third parties

We may receive information from blockchain networks and explorers, infrastructure providers, analytics or security vendors, and identity or authentication providers you choose to connect, to the extent needed to operate the Service.

3. Public Blockchain Data

Blockchain networks are public ledgers. Wallet addresses, balances, and transaction details recorded on-chain are generally visible to anyone and are not controlled by Argon once broadcast. Argon cannot delete or anonymize data that has been permanently recorded on a public chain.

Linking a public address to an identifiable person may occur if you or a merchant provide identifying information alongside a payment, or if third parties independently associate addresses with identities. You should assume that on-chain activity related to Argon payments may be analyzed by third parties.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including account access and API usage
  • Create unique payment wallets, monitor on-chain activity, update payment status, and support donations and bulk payouts
  • Cover or coordinate network fees through custodian-related operations where that feature is enabled
  • Process plan fees, usage metering, and related billing
  • Authenticate users, secure API keys, and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Improve product performance, reliability, and user experience
  • Send service-related notices (for example security alerts, transactional emails, or material changes to terms or this Policy)
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
  • With your consent where required, send product updates or marketing communications (you may opt out of marketing at any time)

5. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)

If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing personal data (for example the EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions), we typically rely on:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you request
  • Legitimate interests — such as securing the Service, preventing fraud, improving products, and communicating about the Service, balanced against your rights
  • Consent — where we ask for it (for example certain cookies or marketing)
  • Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information to comply with law

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember language or preference settings, measure traffic, and protect the Service. Essential cookies are required for core functionality. Analytics or preference cookies, where used, help us understand how the Service is used.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect login, language persistence, or other features. We do not use cookies to sell your personal information. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us host infrastructure, send email, provide analytics, monitor security, or process payments for our own fees, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations
  • Blockchain networks and node / infrastructure providers as needed to create, broadcast, or observe transactions
  • Merchants, when you are a payer interacting with that merchant's Argon checkout or payment link (for example payment status and related transaction details the merchant needs to fulfill an order)
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) under confidentiality obligations
  • Authorities, courts, or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Argon, our users, or the public
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections

8. International Transfers

Argon may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual protections with service providers.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal, tax, accounting, or security requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Transaction and monitoring records may be retained longer because they relate to financial operations, fraud prevention, and audit needs.

Public blockchain records persist indefinitely on the relevant network and are outside our retention controls.

10. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, logging, and secure handling of API credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your passwords, API keys, devices, and any private keys or seed phrases you choose to store or display.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, or restrict certain personal information; to object to certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise privacy rights, contact support@argonpay.app. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We may decline requests where an exemption applies (for example where retention is required by law, or where the request concerns data we cannot alter on a public blockchain).

You can update certain account information in the Service, manage cookie settings in your browser, and opt out of marketing emails using unsubscribe links or by contacting us.

12. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it where required.

13. Third-Party Links and Merchant Sites

The Service may link to third-party websites, documentation, or merchant storefronts. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate (for example via email or an in-product notice). Continued use of the Service after an update becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised Policy.

15. Contact Us

For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact support@argonpay.app.
